The Eventex Awards are billed as the biggest global event competition, and showcase the best events, experiences, and suppliers in the industry worldwide. 2020 marked the 10th edition of the prestigious awards, which saw an unprecedented 444 entries from 39 countries.

The Eventex Awards are known for their stellar jury panel and fair evaluation process where the entries are evaluated on their own merit, instead of getting judged against each other.

In the Data Collection / Event Analytics category a six-strong judging panel – which included top event industry influencer Julius Solaris and renowned tech evangelist Dahlia El Gazzar – rated Crowd Connected’s attendee tracking solution as best in class for must-have visitor analytics and location-based personalisation.

Awarded gold for Exhibition Technology, Crowd Connected impressed the judging panel with its digital toolset which provides exhibition organisers with critical exhibitor performance metrics, actionable visitor analytics and audience segmentation, utilising visitor behavioural data.

Mark Maydon, Commercial Director at Crowd Connected, commented:

“We’re delighted to receive this recognition which, we believe, reflect the investment and business intelligence Crowd Connected has put into further developing our technology to help events of all types in addressing key business challenges.

“In particular, the gold award for Exhibition Technology was really pleasing as the team have worked tirelessly on every aspect of our solution, and it follows hot on the heels of us receiving the Best Tech Company prize at the EN Supplier Awards back in December.

“Clearly given the enormity of the Covid-19 crisis, this is a massively challenging time for anyone involved in the events industry. For most exhibition organisers, there are big, as yet unanswered questions as to exactly what their exhibitions will look like when doors do reopen in the coming months, given restrictions and regulations around their management and organisation, not to mention a global recession.

“Demonstrating ROI to exhibitors and ROT to visitors were already high up the agenda for many shows, and very much our focus. Now there’s the added challenge of a potential requirement for real-time monitoring/measuring of visitor movement, in response to new licensing regulations and/or visitor expectations. We believe digital tools like ours can address all these challenges and help the industry not just survive but thrive.”
