App developer embeds Crowd Connected’s market-leading Colocator location intelligence technology into its event apps.
Appmiral, the leading Belgian-based vendor of mobile apps for live events, and Crowd Connected, the pioneering location intelligence technology company, are extending a successful collaboration first initiated in early 2017.
Crowd Connected’s multi-award winning Colocator software uses patented techniques to intelligently gather, process, and analyse location data from mobile phones. Colocator turns this rich stream of location data into real-time intelligence, empowering effective customer understanding and engagement.
By accurately tracking the crowd, Colocator provides real-time monitoring, footfall measurement and personalised app content in the form of geo-targeted push notifications. This has multi-functional benefits across commercial, operations and marketing teams.
Appmiral, founded shortly after the launch of the original iPhone, has successfully delivered apps to over 100 events, primarily music festivals. Appmiral’s customers span Europe, USA, South Africa and Australia, and include leading international and local promoters.
Under the expanded deal, any event with an Appmiral mobile app can now subscribe to Crowd Connected’s full suite of location services. These include real-time heatmaps and dashboards, interactive charting, detailed data analytics, audience segmentation and geo-targeted message curation - all available via an intuitive web console.
James Cobb, CEO of Crowd Connected, commented: “We’re delighted to extend our collaboration with Appmiral and their customers. It’s been obvious from the start how well aligned we are and we’re looking forward to further developing what is already a very fruitful partnership.”
Robin Van den Bergh, Managing Director at Appmiral, said: “By integrating Crowd Connected’s Colocator we immediately enhanced our own services to deliver a more contextual and relevant communication platform.”
“Push notifications have proven the ideal way of communicating with our clients' audiences, but the obvious problem is that not every push is relevant to an event’s entire audience. Targeting communications using both, current and historic location profiles, allow our clients to add a new depth to messaging campaigns, improving the overall experience for visitors and sponsors.”
